I hope you claim the truth of what Christ has already done... you are NO longer a sinner but a SAINT. perfect sacrifice ONCE and FOR ALL. freed to love, to be loved, once and for all.
You ARE special. You aren't wicked anymore. You've been given the mind of Christ. He does not treat us as our sins deserve. I pray you claim the truth of the cross and the power of His grace and that it would flood you with the freedom and victory in Christ that is ALREADY YOURS!
"Men are not worth dying for, that is precisely why He died for us, to make us worth it." C.S. Lewis.
I do agree with you that I am a saint. However, as I am living in my fleshly (non glorified) body, I am also a sinner. Luther labeled it 'simul iustus et peccator' (a saint because I am holy in God's eyes in Christ, and sinner because I sin).
I still believe that Romans 7 applies to me. I also agree with John when he wrote, "he who thinks he is without sin is a liar."
If you don't think I am a sinner you should talk to my wife :)
People aren't made sinners by sinning, we sin because we're sinners. We can't be both sinners and saints; don't put new wine into old wineskin. The blood of Jesus is powerful enough to overcome our sin even while we commit it; we are fully righteous in Him. The less we acknowledge our sin and the more we acknowledge Him the less and less we sin, without even noticing.
